Here are 5 tips you can use to help save more money.
- Wait a few months before buying the latest generation cell phone. As seen with many of the previous Droid cell phone releases, Verizon is now offering many phones for FREE.
- Don’t purchase more minutes than you need. Depending on the way you use your phone, many can get buy with Verizon’s lowest priced 450 minutes plan. If friends and family have Verizon phones, you can talk without burning minutes.
- Buy a case and screen protector for your phone, and opt-out of phone insurance. I have various smartphones over the years, and have never lost a single phone.
- Opt-out of Verizon text(SMS) plans. Use a free SMS texting app like textplus.
- If you are nearing the top of your minutes allotment for your plan, use a service like Skype to avoid overage fees.
